L’Aventura Housing Estate Development
Centurion Fondation is participating in the different phases of L’Aventura housing estate development project by performing design, build and site monitoring activities for various types of deep foundation work.

Complexe de la Santé Health Complex
Centurion Fondation designed and installed three (3) metal sheet pile retaining walls and some 500 driven tubular piles for the construction of the new Complexe de la Santé health complex in Sherbrooke.

Centurion designed and installed 32 driven tubular friction piles.

Temporary retaining walls at the National Assembly
Centurion Fondation designed and built two Berliner-type retaining walls for the excavation work required for the National Assembly expansion project.

Quebec City (2015-2016)
Redevelopment of the Autoroute Félix-Leclerc (A-40) and Autoroute Laurentienne (A-73) interchange
Centurion Fondation installed 297 driven tubular piles, built three temporary metal sheet pile retaining walls and installed one Berliner-type temporary retaining wall.

Lévis (2015)
Développement immobilier Loges Saint-Nicolas – Phase 1 housing development
In collaboration with the project’s consulting engineer, Centurion Fondation developed a deep foundation design adapted to the specific geotechnical features of the work site. Centurion Fondation subsequently performed the work for the first building in the housing development.

Complexe Les 3 Glaces – 655, boulevard Pierre-Bertrand
Centurion Fondation designed and built deep foundations adapted to the specific geotechnical features of the work site. The proposed concept included 83 piles was successfully verified with static compression load testing.

Boucherville (2015)
Complexe sportif Pierre-Laporte sports complex
Centurion Fondation designed and built a metal sheet pile retaining wall exceeding 300 meters to allow for the excavation required for construction of the proposed building. The project involved installing over 450 piles and 100 anchors for the building foundations. Many dynamic and static load tests were performed.

Cap-Saint-Ignace (2015)
Bridge P-05080 reconstruction on highway 132
Centurion Fondation installed 54 HP-type driven piles and performed 2 static lateral load tests. The client reviewed the piling layout for the west pour based on Centurion Fondation’s recommendations.

Saint-Jacques-le-Mineur (2015)
Bridge P-18316 reconstruction on Montée Saint-Jacques and Montée Du Moulin on Autoroute 15
Centurion Fondation drilled 10 pile shafts 915 mm in diameter by over 20 metres deep, installed 10 passive rock anchors, and designed and installed many driven tubular piles. A static compression load test at 7000 kN, two static traction load tests at 3500 kN and several dynamic load tests were successfully completed. Centurion Fondation took charge of designing the deep foundations of the bridge in collaboration with the project engineering consultant team.

Les Méchins (2014-2015)
Verreault Navigation Dry Dock Expansion
Centurion Fondation’s work consisted of drilling 750-mm diameter tubular piles into backfill and rock to form a combined, permanent wall for expansion of the existing dry dock.

Saguenay (2014-2015)
Overpass Construction on the Chemin de la Grande-Anse and Autoroute 70 Interchange
Centurion Fondation installed 217 driven tubular piles, some over 40 metres long. The piles were driven into a thick quick clay deposit and equipped with Oslo points. Most of the work was performed in winter.

Gallichan (2014-2015)
P-17921 Bridge Construction over Duparquet River
Centurion Fondation installed, drilled the rock and cemented the 8, 1524-mm-diameter caisson piles that form the foundations of the new bridge. Drilling was done in extremely resistant rock, under especially harsh winter weather conditions. Video inspections and five (5) CSL tests were used to confirm the quality of the caisson piles.

CSST Headquarters Expansion

Building A – Rue Bouvier
In partnership with the designing Engineer and the Client, Centurion Fondation designed and built deep foundations adapted to the unique geotechnical features of the work site. The proposed design was successfully verified using static compression and traction load testing.

Quay Reinforcement Work for the Addition of a Mooring Bollard
Centurion Fondation performed vibratory driving work on the 5, 610-mm-diameter piles needed to strengthen the existing quay to allow for the addition of a mooring bollard.

QUAY LANDING EXPANSION
Centurion Fondation designed and installed 4 tubular piles using vibratory driving to support the landing enlargement structure.

P-02590 bridge construction on highway 204
Centurion Fondation designed and installed 72 driven tubular friction piles in a hard silt-clay deposit.

Port-Daniel-Gascons (2014-2015)
Cimenterie de Port-Daniel Cement Plant
As part of construction of the marine terminal for the new Mcinnis cement plant, Centurion Fondation installed 99 caisson piles, from 1220 mm to 1372 mm in diameter. Each caisson pile required drilling through rock to a depth of over 12 meters and a diameter of 520 mm.

REGIONAL KITCHEN, DETENTION FACILITY
Centurion Fondation designed and installed the 70 driven tubular piles required to build the foundations of a new building on the site of the Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines detention facility.

Montreal (2014)
Construction of a 2400-mm water conduit in a tunnel – well using secant piles
Centurion Fondation designed and built the first secant pile well in Quebec. The well, used as a trap for tunnelling work, has an inside diameter of 11 meters and a depth of 34 meters, including 22 meters located in loose soil. The double rotary head drilling technique was used in dense to very dense soils containing rocks and blocks.

Bridge P-16362 Construction on Autoroute 20
Centurion Fondation installed 132 driven tubular piles for the new P 16362 bridge on Autoroute 20 in Isle-Verte.
